Mainstream self-care often misses the mark for neurodivergent humans. It can feel performative, disconnected from our actual needs, or loaded with shame when it doesn’t “work.”
I talk about how society doesn’t support humanization and wellness, specific barriers for Autistic people and then we explore what it means to build a self-care practice rooted in sensory awareness, spaciousness, and small acts that restore dignity and choice.
