I woke up unsure what to talk about for today’s Field Notes Friday, so I was delighted when a community member asked a question that sparked some interest and ideas in me. They wanted to know how to introduce neurotypical communication styles to Autistic and ADHD clients in an affirming way.
So this week, I share some thoughts on how to approach that conversation: how to frame social skills training in a way that’s neurodiversity-affirming, and I also highlight some of my favorite studies from Dr. Catherine Crompton on cross-neurotype interactions.
